Despite my slutty reputation, I was technically a virgin at eighteen. But it turns out all those sex-ed teachers aren’t just trying to scare you. The faint positive on a budget pregnancy test sent me spinning, moments before meeting my sister’s snooty new fiancé.
Shaking hands with upper-crusty James was like downing a triple shot of vodka. Dizzy with desire, confused by my body’s reaction, and shocked by the possessiveness flashing in his eyes, I deceived him that night and told the world at their wedding reception.
The truth?
I slept with my sister’s fiancé. Hot and sweaty, all night long in a room so dark he couldn’t tell I wasn’t her.
The lie?
Said fiancé is the father of my child. The one I signed over my rights to just before he was born.
That was seven years ago.
It’s time to come clean.
My Review: Well this book was something! Paisley was a piece of work to read. I mean I liked her and hated her at the same time! I would feel for her and then I would just want to get her some help.
She has the reputation and its not true at all. She was really untouched all those years and just had the reputation of a slut because of what she did. But hey, when you get a reputation it will stick with you, rather you wanted it to or not. What drove me mad was the night she slept with James. He had no idea that it was Paisley. James thought it was her sister and well ended up hooking up that night and landed Paisley with a kid.
I wish she had come clean then instead of waiting for her sister to be married to James. Telling out loud that you are pregnant with his kid, may have not been the right way to go about any of this! Ugh so much going on in this book. Because there was so much going on and it was written so well, I ended up loving it all. Plus the plot was good and something different than I'm used to, so I liked that.
When the time to come clean came along, I was happy with the way it played out. It was written well and it all ended up in a better situation that I thought it would. Coming clean is a good thing, no matter what it may lead to.
I enjoyed this story and would read more by the author.
I give it 4 stars
