My Review: LOVE! Everyone needs to drop what they are doing and get this book now! Earthbound has got to be the best book I've read this summer. Possibly for the year (three very close books behind it).
Tavia has been in a major plane crash and is the only survivor. Now she must live with her aunt and uncle and start a new life, while healing from the other. Her injuries are horrible and her parents are gone, making this year a sucky one.
Tavia thinks she is normal, but really she isn't. Tavia will learn that she is an Earthbound. A type of goddess with supernatural abilities. She can make things, but they only last so long. She will learn that Benson, the nerdy library kid she likes so much, has some secrets that will be revealed at the worst moment.
The people she believes are helping her, are really keeping secrets from her. Elizabeth, Reese and Jat have major secrets from her, and I don't just mean hiding that she is an Earthbound. To make matters worse, the evil cult people are after her again. For centuries she has been hunted and killed by them, but now they WANT her, NEED her for something I won't say. This is the only time they need her alive, and Tavia better take this shot to try and destroy them.
Now all of that isn't the craziest part! Quinn and Rebecca are maybe the craziest part according to Tavia. You know one is a ghost that is communicating with you this whole time she thought he was just haunting her. Then the whole Rebecca in another life thing, is just hard to grasp at until the very end.
Tavia goes through SO MUCH that I don't think I have ever read a character go through as much craziness as Tavia. Believe me, I've read many books where characters have a crazy life, but Tavia surely takes the CAKE!
I love love loved this book soooo much! I got this book and devoured it so fast, I don't remember getting any sleep that day. Then then ending! Such a cute ending, it didn't even seem like an ending to me. "Do I know you?" "Not yet, but you will." Now who wouldn't like that ending?
I'm am going to bounce around waiting for book 2! I really can't wait until next year
