With guilt, betrayal, and long-buried secrets rising to the surface, Jordie must confront a devastating Can he ever truly move forward, or has the past already shaped his future beyond repair?
A gripping novel of love, dedication, and redemption, perfect for fans of emotional suspense and small-town mysteries.
Jordie and Hannah are two kids that I'm sure people could relate to. These two kids go from being saved by bullies (who doesn't want to have a friend that will stand up to bullies for you) to the greatest of friends, the kind that you know will last them throughout their school years and beyond.
But that's shattered when disaster hits. Now comes a new reality. Full of new challenges, questions and a consuming grief that really no one should have to experience.
It's got great moments to heartbreaking ones. It's got relatable elements that kids to adults today could relate to. It's a long read but it's full of so much that it draws you and wondering what's coming next. It also keeps you draw by wondering is this more of a mystery, is it leaning more on a classic or is something going to happen to question if it falls under some other category. While I'm not usually one for a book with too many elements in it, it's just written in a way that it works and I was more drawn into the story than trying to figure out what the book was. A Big win for me.
