There are moments in our lives that can change the course we’re on.
I believe when faced with those moments, we should take the unknown path. The risk.
The excitement, the opportunity, the love . . .

The night I stumbled into a burlesque club in downtown Los Angeles, I took one of those paths and changed my life.
I found a home I’d never had with my own parents.
I found a confidence I’d never known as a prima ballerina.
I found my passion.

And it inadvertently led me back to the one moment I’d let slip away—to him.
To a love so pure and whole and carnal, I thought it could withstand anything.

But I’m not the only one with secrets.
And now, all those chosen paths are crumbling around me.

My Review: You know I was at a point where I almost gave up because the beginning was slower than usual, but luckily it picked up and the love I have for Molly's writing came shining through!

Adam is unable to speak, which was something new for me. I haven't yet come across a book where there was a mute character so it was an interesting read. In the beginning you think he is a bit shady with how he's acting with his friend.

Hollis is amazing despite the shitty life she left behind. Yesh, she had the best schools, clothes, etc. But it wasn't her, she just kept going along with whatever her parents wanted to keep them happy. But the second she broke free from it all she found herself and became who she was meant to be finally.

The day she ran into Adam was when things finally started to speed up. He's that GUY. The guy from the dream and that night in NY. How is it possible that he just happens to be there? That all gets revealed more near the end.

Now once it's revealed what Adam really does for a living it makes sense why he acts the way he does at times. But the shock that he delivers onto to Holli about her parents, now that was something. I am very happy she was able to understand and forgive Adam.

You know, Adam wasn't always mute. You'll learn that story by reading the book, but he gave Hollis such an amazing gift at the end that it melts your heart into mush and makes you want to read for those tissues.

Another series by Molly that I know I'm going to fall in love with.
