My Review: This was a lovely and refreshing read for me! This book had a lot of elements I haven't read in a while and it was one of those books that you just knew, knew it would be worth the read.
Hunter survived against a Shui Gui. No one survives, the ghost drown the humans, then take their souls. Surviving must mean they have something in store for Hunter, or he is one seriously lucky guy.
A few years later, and after searching for answers, Hunter finally has an idea of what's going on. Looks like he has some paranormal powers. Which is going to lead to a road of hardships. So it looks like his survival, was their plan all along.
So Hunter and his mum move. Things are going pretty well, and it gets even better when he meets Laurel. Shes his love and things are just amazing between them. But then things get shaky for Hunter. There is a Shui Gui out there that is gaining great power. Its up to Hunter to take care of this. It's going to be a lot for him, but I like this character and know he's going to be great and can handle this.
