Grieving from a tragic loss, a deeply depressed Dahlia retreats with her sister Lily and best friend Vi to a sun-soaked Indonesian paradise to heal. There, she meets soulful surfer Kai, who's seeking to escape from the demons of his own past. Can the spiritual and physical connection between them put back together the pieces of Dahlia's shattered heart?
My Review: Yes I'm back with another one of Vivian's books! First off, I love the details in this book, the details just get better in every book. Perfect amount of hot scenes to keep you hooked and plenty of pages to learn and love the characters.
Dahlia is having a tough time. Dealing the the loss of the man that she thought was her forever and the loss of her daughter. It's really not an easy thing to deal with or even go through. So she is having her grieving time right now and she deserves some peace after all this is done.
Once she has had time to grieve, she needs to live on with her life. And to do just that she is gonna go on a trip. Where a new adventure is waiting for her. So off to paradise she runs to with her friend and sister. Who knows how long it will take for Dahlia to heal and if her heart will ever be fully whole again.
Now there is where I would love to go super detail, but its a little hard without giving out so many spoilers. So.....on the trip Kai comes along with his own past. And maybe they can heal each other. This story brought the intensity to another level. With so much happening to Dahlia right now, and watching how she deals with it all and the way things shift once she goes on her trip is just perfect writing. I love all these books and I can't wait to read the next book of hers.
