My Review: OMG perfect! I was drawn with the summary and after actually reading it, I'm speechless. A new original take in YA and I just loved it. And if you have been following my review this year, you would know that only maybe 5 books have left me speechless or I found it to be perfection. So hopefully I can get you guys to go and give this book a try!
Shaylee has nightmares, over and over again. You know how sometimes they feel real, but you still tell yourself its just a dream? Well for Shaylee, she is going to find out that her dreams may actually be real. Her parents decide it would be best for her to leave home. Not go to another city, but more like go to a different country. So they all plan to move in with Nan, however Shalyee goes first. Her parents will meet up later. When she goes to see Nan they promise she will explain everything to her.
So right now Shaylee has left everything behind to see someone she hasn't seen in years. And not sure how much she will believe, since a lot of thing that are told to her are mainly lies. Yeah, not the greatest thing to do to a young person.
So she arrives at Nan and things will start to unfold for her. Like her future has always been planned. Two men appear in her life. One approved to marry and the other isn't. And she belongs to this new world. So you know, no pressure or anything there. Not to mention, its going to make Shaylee have to grow up pretty quickly.
So I really enjoyed Shaylee. Only 17 and having her dreams swept out from her. There are many way she could have reacted to tall this, and she did surprisingly well at things and it made me like her. She is a strong character and remained that way through the story.
The story was constant and flowed very nicely, and giving you sparks here and there to grab you even more into the story. I know I finished this book in one sitting and I can't tell you how annoyed I was that I didn't have another story about Shalyee!
