When the past collides with the present, the only way to ensure the future lies in the ultimate kill…

Naomi McCall is a woman of many secrets. Her family has been murdered and she’s been forced into hiding. No one knows her past or her real name, not even the man she loves.

Jake Tyler, former Marine and the newest recruit to the private criminal investigation agency, CORE, has been in love with a woman who never existed. When he learns about the lies Naomi has weaved, he’s ready to leave her—until an obsessed madman begins sending her explosive messages every hour on the hour.

Innocent people are dying. With their deaths, Naomi’s secrets are revealed and the truth is thrust into the open. All but one. Naomi’s not sure if Jake can handle a truth that will change their lives. But she is certain of one thing—the only way to stop the killer before he takes more lives is to make herself his next victim.

My Review:
Mystery and a crazy evil man! I mean before I even get into anything, there is a stalker who takes stalking to a level never thought of! It made me think of mystery stories in a new way and I don't know.....I like it but I wouldn't want all mystery to have stalkers of this level.

Okay so maybe I should jump into the story so you know what I'm going on about........Harrison, Naomi, Jake and Badger (Stalker) all make this book great. Beware when stepping into Badger's mind. It's a sick place and something that may drive you batty if you aren't used to super insane crazy villains.  So he and Naomi already bring a lot to the book and then CORE is brought in. Jack is mentioned and you learn more of what they are and what they stand for. CORE is a really good agency and knows just the right way to treat these people. I love that and I can see it being carried strongly over into the next books.

I love reading about Jake and Naomi, they are amazing and I love how Naomi is such a strong woman. She will make sure to have her happiness and keep the man she loves safe. They work well together and you can sense a connection as you read. You get the romance that comes with a relationship and it really was my favorite part of the book. I would rather step back into their minds than into that crazy man again. However I am still curious about how things will go on so I need to read more of the series.
