My Review: Woah. I am loving this book and the world within it. Alexia was one thing and now that she met the blue eyed guy, her world is about to get shocked. Alexia went from this okay girl to an overnight beauty. Think that's crazy? Well you know how moonlight walks are supposed to be romantic? Not in this book. Walking at moonlight is not safe, mostly due to another world that exists among humans.
So what's going on here. Well Alexia's world is about the women being married off. Not just that, but they make sure the other family will benefit them in some way. So in that aspect its pretty much what you would expect during this time period. Though Alexia is lucky when it comes to her family. She isn't held to super outrageous standards that a family would expect. Her family is slightly crazy, but still holds certain standards. Either way, its not too bad for Alexia and I'm very glad I wasn't living during that period. I don't like the whole family marrying off a person to another family. It just never seemed right to me, I like the whole idea of dating and finding that one person you are meant for on your own.
Anyway lets talk Kiren. Mr lovely blue eyes that make you swoon. Yes, he is another character that I will be addicted to and just need to have my dose of Kiren.
So in this world the people are called Passionate. Which Alexia will become. She will become a strong character in no time and have a pretty serious role in this new world. She will make sure the soulless will never get a chance to grab a victim.
At first I wasn't super sure about Alexia, but as she grew strong and I got to know her more, she quickly grew on me. As you read along, you get more ideas of Alexia from other characters by what they think of her. You will also be introduced to other characters. The other characters I did like, I didn't have any real issues with them.
The book itself I really enjoyed. I did have slight issues with certain chapters. There was about two chapters that I wasn't happy with, mainly because the book was really good then it would hit this chapter that slowed things down, when I just wanted it to keep on moving. But that may also be because I was into the book and just wanted things to keep on going.
Overall I wouldn't put the book down and wished I had the next book already to dive into! This book is so worth the read. Either if you love this genre or want something different to read.
