17 year-old Kalina didn t know her boyfriend was a vampire until the night he died of a freak accident. She didn t know he came from a long line of vampires until the night she was visited by his half-brothers Jaegar and Stuart Greystone. There were a lot of secrets her boyfriend didn t tell her. Now she must discover them in order to keep alive. But having two half-brothers vampires around had just gotten interesting.
My Review: From start of finish I was very into this book. It's not the same as other vampire stories I've read. A lot have similar beginning and ending, but this one is completely different. This book is totally on it's own level.
Kalina lost her boyfriend in a freak accident. Months after two guys show up who apparently are Aaron's older brothers. Right now at she has no idea that Aaron is a vampire. When the brothers show up she finds out there are tons of secrets that Aaron hasn't told her. To stay alive she has to figure out what the secrets are. But with two vampires around, things ought to be interesting. Things are interesting, Kalina faces a number of crazy situations and other vampires will become curious at what she's become. Now the two brothers are fun and opposites of each other. You have one brother who is flirty and the other is sweet and awkward. I do like how strong Kalina is when faced with situations. She reminds me of a favorite character I have. I did like a scene in the book where other vamps tried doing something to her, and it had no effect at all. The holy water thrown on any other would hurt them badly, but on Kalina, nothing happens at all. Kinda cool scene to read.
