This book wasted no time in getting right into the good stuff. Immediately, Elena and Trevan are showing how much they crave each other. From Trevan thinking about how bad an idea it is to be Elena's bodyguard essentially and how Silas wouldn't be saying how much he trusts Trevan for this job if he knew how he really felt about her. Then to Elena basically hinting at it the very first night in her new place.
The entire time, there is NO question that these two have feelings for each other and really need to just give in already. It's been stirring for long enough.
From when a mysterious package shows up to waiting on the guys to come back from MC business. You can feel it. You will be screaming for these two to just get to it already. You'll be on the edge the whole time and at this point, it's only just the beginning of the book.
I have also read enough books by A.L. I'm starting to pick up on who may end up being a problem. Like with Penny. Right off the bat there was something about Penny that just didn't sit right and HOLY SHIT was I right. BUT it was also because of a reason I hadn't expected.
This was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. How quickly the peaceful bubble that was Elena and Trevan life just burst and the entire time screaming for Trevan to sense something and get his ass back to the shop.
In true A.L. Fashion, just as badly as my heart was torn to shreds, she put it back together when they finally get their HEA and all is well with the world again.
I absolutely LOVED Elena and Trevan. They quickly became a favorite. Which is no surprise. It really is hard to not fall for the couples A.L. Jackson writes. At this point every couple from each MC series is still with me and I sure can't wait for the next couple to come along and steal my heart just like the rest.
