Author Interview
What inspired you to write The Phantom Archer?
My inspiration to write the book. I have always loved history and folklore and I grew up watching films like the princess bride and sleepy hollow I read books such as the Scarlett pimpernel, 3 musketeers Robin Hood etc and I wanted to write a book where the women took the lead a bit more and I loved this idea of the classic vigilante hero with a sword and a mask!

How did you develop the main character's personality?
Developing the characters was hard and it took years and many drafts I’d written from various viewpoints and was about to give up when I came across the idea of doing it from the POV of a young girl who steps into this world by accident and it just worked.

What was the most challenging part of writing the story?
The most challenging part is always piecing  the story together to make it a fun ride and keep the pace going. I’m a discovery writer so although I have a plot until I sit with the characters I’m not always exactly sure where it’s going

Did you base any of the characters on people you know?
I always tell people they are in my book somewhere! I think I’ve been writing my characters so long that I feel like I know them. I do think Gwen is the most like me just much braver! I’ve always felt that I was very average person and Gwen is kind of that person no real special abilities just calls on a guy when shes about to get killed!

What is one thing you wish readers would ask you about the book?
I think I’d like people to ask me about the folklore elements of the books. I’m quite blessed due to social media my fans have a direct line to me so they can ask questions! I always try to answer DMs and comments on my videos. I think I love it when people read my books and it’s sparks an interest in history, I think people think history is really boring but if you find the right stories it’s really interesting.

Did you know how the story would end when you started writing it?
I always had a plan for the ending currently in this phase there will be 6 books and I’ve already written the last chapter (in my head) but how I get there is still quite fluid. The original ending was a bit harsh and recently I decided to tweak it a bit because the world is miserable enough and I like to give my readers a bit of hope.

LET’S ADD SOME FUN!

What song would you choose as the soundtrack for the book?
I always listen to My Chemical Romance when thinking about scenes for my books it has so much energy yet there are songs that can make you cry so the range of emotion is great to tap into what I need.

Tea or coffee?
Always tea, but I’m a sucker for a coffee shop where I will always end up with some caramel based drink with whipped cream.

Read in silence or with background music?
I tend to read in silence but if it’s noisy I’ll listen to chill hop

LAST, BUT NOT LEAST

Where can readers find out more about you and your books?
Every where! I’m all over social media plus my books are on Amazon and KU I do sell signed copies with extra book swag direct from my website as well.

Book Deal!
I’ve got my first book The Phantom Archer at 0.99 for the ebook I tend to leave that one at a lower price point than the other books because I’m asking a reader to take a chance on a new author.

About the Author
I’m a lover of folklore and spooky stories but if a daydreamer and I do my writing around a full time job. I took a number of years to get these books published it was quite a journey I went from being told by agents that there was no market for my book to self publishing and getting a finalist in a book award. There was definitely an audience for my book! I really enjoy encouraging other authors.
