My Review: Ugh, it’s one of those books that you kick yourself for letting it sit on that TBR for too long.
Right off the bat, things are happening. Birthday party, families mingling (happy about it or not) and a daughter up for grabs...
Elia is a damn decent man. He isn’t happy at the thought of someone marrying off his daughter to whoever as long as it gains him power. So, he does what any gentleman would do. Take her aside, give her a taste and propose to her so she’ll be safer with him instead.
But Caroline isn't a damsel in distress that’s in need of saving. But this arrangement could work out well for her. Least it'll aide in the plans she has up her sleeve.
The arrangement has been made between them and once the time comes that'll be it.
Except....
Elia can’t get Caroline off his mind. Maybe he actually likes her and then some. While Caroline is struggling to stick to her plans and wanting to cave into Elia.
Though, the whole cousin in the kitchen thing wasn’t enough to stop this arrangement. But it certainly was quiet the scene.
But this arrangement could certainly become the real deal.
Oh, and a whole lot of spice, obviously.
If you love spice, romance
and mafia style genre then this book is certainly for you. I devoured
this book so fast and went straight to getting the rest of the series.
