MAGIC AWAKENS.
DARKNESS SWELLS.
AND A HERO RISES.
It’s been a year since Tamsyn transformed from the enemy in Fell’s bed to the wife he sacrificed himself to save. From an ordinary girl to Penterra’s best hope to keep magic from disappearing forever.
With Fell torn from her side in the dangerous swirling mists of the Crags, Tamsyn is alone among the dragon pride. An outsider learning to survive in her new home, she trains until her muscles burn and her blood spills. And slowly, a warrior emerges.
But is Fell truly beyond Tamsyn’s reach? Their bond pulls at her, as does the fierce drive to protect both humans and dragonkind from a relentless enemy determined to destroy her – and all magic.
Magic stirs in the darkness, strengthening all who believe in it. But will it be enough to save the pride, the kingdom, and a love fated to endure for centuries?
In this explosive sequel to the Sunday Times bestselling A Fire in the Sky, the fate of magic rests on one warrior’s shoulders – but it could cost her everything …

Tamsyn is simply amazing. She is stronger, strong minded, confident and just loveable. She is spending her time learning, training, helping around with whatever chores and just trying to get by. It's been hard on her with Fell gone but their bond is still there, she swears she still feels him even after a year has gone by it doesn't seem to be the fading feelings of a bond that's over.
On top of everyday life, Tamsyn still doesn't feel like she belongs. There are some who don't like her at all and want her gone, especially after breaking a major law, but frankly they need to step off. Tamsyn didn't even know what she was let alone know all the ins and outs of being a dragon, the laws, stories, etc. They would be better off trying to help her feel at home and catch her up on the dragon side of things.
BUT when Vetr lets out that Fell may not truly be gone and finally reveals the truth about what happened, then there is no question in Tamsyn's mind. She is going to find her husband.
So she sets off to do just that.
When she finally reaches the moment of truth, everything is about to change. It's the moment I was waiting on the edge of my seat for and I can't tell you how fast I devoured this book and then immediately wished there was more.
Sophie has just a talent for romance that will always have me coming back for more of her books.
If you read and loved her YA dragon series, you will LOVE this adult version.
