She’s the sweetest woman on the face of the planet.
And to my great misfortune, the sexiest one, too.
She’s been living under her brother’s roof her entire life, and she’s ready to spread her wings.
And I’m the masochist who offers she stay at my place until she can find an apartment.
When I hear her having a nightmare, the only thing I can do is go to her. Hold her so she knows she’s safe from her demons.
The second she’s in my arms, the attraction I’ve tried to hide sparks to life. I know better than to push past the boundaries I’ve set for us, but when she begs me to touch her in a way she’s never been touched, I can’t resist.
And with my name on her lips as I send her soaring for the first time, I know there’s no going back.
I’m willing to break every rule and oath I’ve ever made to keep her.
Accept every consequence.
Only she and I have a dark, dangerous history that no one knows about.
And I’m afraid the consequences of loving her have just caught up to us…
We're back in Moonlight Ridge.
The story jumps right into it. The guys discussing their plan in helping the latest person in need and then quickly heading back up to the main part of the club. River running right to his girl and Otto right behind him secretly pinning for Raven.
You got a glimpse of how Raven and Otto are together in the first book. But now that its their turn, that big brother protector mentality is thrown to the side for something that's so not brotherly. Bout time too, these too could only tease and taunt each other so much before you're screaming for them to get a move on already.
Raven is such a freaking awesome person. She's someone you would love to have as a friend.
Otto didn't have the best life. So he gives it his all to help those in need and protect the ones he loves. He is someone you also want to have by your side.
When you put the two of them together, it's clear through their connection, the chemistry, the love, it's all there and they so deserve each other.
I'm so torn that both books in the series have been so fantastic that I loved them both equally. I don't know if I'll have a favorite at this rate because this series so far has proven to have some of the best A.L. characters yet.
Now to not patiently wait for the next book.
