For years, I’ve tried to keep my distance from Dakota Cooper. She’s everything
I’ve ever wanted and the one thing I can’t have.
When my
best friend’s little sister walks in on me moaning her name, it’s all over. All
restraints are shattered, and every boundary demolished. Nothing will be the
same…
But when she calls me in the middle of the night after someone tries to break
into her house, I can no longer handle that distance, and I convince her to
stay with me, along with her young son.
I should have known having her living under my roof would push me to the edge.
Ignite the need that has simmered for so long.
The problem is, she’s forbidden. Off-limits. And I know better than crossing
that line.
I can’t drag her into the dark secrets of my life.
But I can’t stay away from her either, so I do the one thing I shouldn’t—I
take.
And now that I’ve had her, I’m not sure I can save her from who I am...

My
Review: Love! Lets face it, at this point I'm just utterly addicted to A.L.
Jackson's books. I have yet to find anything by her that I haven't been
instantly pulled in and fully absorbed until the last page. Seriously, go
get you some of her books!
Anyhow....
Ryder is clearly smitten for Dakota. Right off the bat, he recognizes how she is so capable of anything, but would rather be the one out there changing that flat tire for her. Even Dakota was quick on her teasing response.
As Ryder
takes care of her tire and walks back to his bike, Dakota lingers at him
wondering if he might feel the same way she does for him. Oh, if only she could
read his mind, she would that he couldn't hold his attraction unless he had to.
Well if he wasn't worried about how her brother being his best friend would
react..
Now with her car back on the road, Dakota head to go pick up her son and has such a sweet relationship with him. All these characters are just full of love and understanding it makes it such an easy world to fall into and love.
Ryder wants Dakota and love her with every fiber of his being, he just needs a way out of his past. But that never stops him for showing up when she needs him. Plus his love and protective nature also extends to her son without question. There is no doubt these two are mean for each other and making this longing desire become much more than that.
Sweet, gentle, love, romance, man with tattoos (winner for me!), it has everything you could ever want in a small town romance to sweep you off your feet and impatiently waiting for the next book and couple to fall in love with.
