Their Union Is His Revenge.
Isolde de Lara considers her wedding day her death day. To end a years-long war, she is to marry vampire king, Adrian Aleksandr Vasiliev, and kill him.

But her assassination attempt is thwarted and Adrian threatens that if Isolde tries to kill him again, he will raise her as the undead. Faced with the possibility of becoming the thing she hates most, Isolde seeks other ways to defy him and survive the brutal vampire court.

Except it isn’t the court she fears most — it’s Adrian. Despite their undeniable chemistry, she wonders why the king — fierce, savage, merciless — chose her as consort.

The answer will shatter her world.

My Review:  This was amazing. After ready my first book by Scarlett (When Stars Come Out) I knew she would become a favorite of mine, and I've been  devouring her books since.

I actually enjoyed her take on a vampire romance. Its not over done, its actually quiet subtle. People know what the vampires are and capable of, so there isn't a ton of details explaining them which was a nice break. I'm a little tired of everybook giving the same overdetailed description of vampires.

Anywho...

Isolde is a Princess. One who can fight, speaks her mind and wishes to do as she pleases. She doesn't care to marry, fall in love, she follows her own psth and I love how strong she is.

Her strength is tested when the Blood King asks her to be his wife. They'll marry, she will leave those she loves behind and move to the Red Palace. She is now Queen.

Isolde faces so much. The way her people feel and act regarding her. What her own family tries to do to her. Her relationship with Adrian. To top it all off, finding out just who she really is and why Adrian wanted her so much.

I love Isolde becoming Queen and taking to it so well. She cares for her people but is also strong and firm when need be. The passion shared between her and Adrian grows each day. Even if she pushes him away at times and yes they are stubborn but they work and rule well together. They are meant to be just like they were all those years ago.

There is so much packed into this book and I so loved it and have already dived into the second the book!
