It only takes a spark...

In Legacy, Colorado, I buried my father alongside his elite Hotshot team.
Ten years later, I’ve followed in his footsteps—fighting fires in the mountains of Alaska with my brother.
Amid the flames, nothing ignites me like Avery Claire.
She’s stubborn, strong, sexy as hell, and my best friend.
She also has no idea that I’m in love with her.
But Colorado is calling me home, needing every Legacy-born firefighter to successfully rebuild our fathers’ team.
One night will change everything between us,
But she’s tied to Alaska and my future is in Colorado.
Now I’m torn between what my honor demands,
And what my heart can’t live without.

My Review: My favorite couple to swoon over in this series. Seriously such a great build up into the Legacy series.

River and his bother just finished dealing with a fire. So River is off to his usual stop to see Avery at work before heading home. The girls he's been friends with for years, the girl he's secretly been in love with for a while and would love nothing more than to be with her.

Avery  is close with River, so close she has a key to his place. Okay, well m going home to be on the team and Averyaybe it's to take care of his dog while he's off fighting those fires, but still. Avery has a lot going on in her life, with working so much, taking care of her sister and their injured dad, who is a total hot mess and not my favorite person.

When they both finally become a couple, it's the best swoon and tissue couple. When River is asked to go home to be part of the Legacy hotshot crew, he's torn with going home and Avery. So he asks her to go home with him for the weekend and just maybe move there. Their time away is beautiful and everything they both needed.

Avery wants nothing more than to move to River's home town and have this amazing life together. But her home life has her held back. But then ending gives you everything you expect and more.
