While the world is ravaged by a global pandemic, hotshot NFL running back Evan Sparks is locked in his own personal hell. With a career-ending scandal on his back, Evan hides out in his best friend’s empty San Francisco home, the full city shutdown locking him in a lonely twenty-story apartment in the sky.

Romance writer Sadie Walsh is having the worst case of writer’s block ever…until the incredible, muscular stranger staying next door gets her muse going strong. The pair of loners, never expecting to find a friend in all the madness, meet each day out on their balconies like a modern-day Romeo and Juliet.

Each new day brings unique challenges for the pair as they navigate the unknown and find solace together. They quickly figure out that as long as they have one another, they can handle anything.

Even falling in love under quarantine.

My Review:  I LOVED this book.

Yes, it came out as the world shut down. Yes, it's not an easy topic to maybe read about during said time, but READ IT! Seriously, Kylie did a fantastic job.

Sadie is a wonderful woman. She's got a great career as a writer, though she is in the middle of a writers block. So some more coffee, some candy and back to the computer. Nope, nothing, still blank. But soon she will have the words pouring out of her.

Now for this hot neighbor of hers...

Evan is keeping it low key while watching his friend's apartment while he's away. It's okay though, he has the cat to keep him company.... But he's staying low while the issues in his career are being taken care of. So in the meantime, he's got beer, food, tv and spends some time on the balcony working out.

Soon neither of them knew what was to come. They both liked looking over the balcony at each other. Evan with his thoughts and Sadie using his good looks and fantasies to help aid in her writing.

What started off as just being friendly during lockdown, became much more. Together they help in each other, support each other and eventually that intense and amazing love comes to the surface that only Kylie can deliver.

I loved everything about this book and just couldn't put it down. For me, something about a couple coming together and reading how they came to be was a great escape from the world. A must read!!
