The final breathtaking installment in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams’s REBEL series.
Protecting people isn’t simply my job—it’s engrained in me.
It doesn’t atone for my countless sins.
There’s no washing the blood off my hands after a lifetime in
the mob.
I just want to save those
who can’t save themselves.
Then Sutton Larson came at me with diamond-encrusted heels.
She’s judgmental and guarded and the most infuriating woman
I’ve ever met.
Gaining her trust is nearly
impossible. Protecting her is anything but easy. When she becomes more than a
job, our passion builds like a brutal storm—beautiful and consuming.
But we have an expiration date made of lies and betrayals and
lethal games.
One we thought we could outlive.
And it’s taunting us for thinking we could.
My name’s Conor Kennedy. I’ve lost enough people in my life .
. . I refuse to lose her.
My Review: Conor is all
business. His job is to protect Sutton and her daughter at all costs. He even
looks strong and powerful, but if you really got to know him, he’s quite gentle
and kind.
Sutton is stubborn and well, she does have a right to be. Her husband is not the man she really knew, and she finally had the courage and help to get away from him and his messed-up games. She and Lexi have a chance at a good and normal life.
Watching Sutton and Conor
communicate could be amusing at times. But the start to their change in relationship
began when Lexi went MIA and left the hotel. Once safe and sound, things changed,
and they changed fast.
As things moved on, other characters from the earlier books come along and take part in this mission. It really brings everything together, as every character throughout the series has been amazing.
When Sutton and Conor finally realized what they have and gave in, it truly brought out the feels even more. It’s just how Molly does it, creates these stories that make it impossible to put down until the very last word.
