For months Clara Gardner
trained to face the fire from her visions, but she wasn't prepared for the
choice she had to make that day. And in the aftermath, she discovered that
nothing about being part angel is as straightforward as she thought.
Now, torn between her love
for Tucker and her complicated feelings about the roles she and Christian seem
destined to play in a world that is both dangerous and beautiful, Clara
struggles with a shocking revelation: Someone she loves will die in a matter of
months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that
the fire was just the beginning.
In this compelling sequel to Unearthly, Cynthia
Hand captures the joy of first love, the anguish of loss, and the confusion of
becoming who you are.
My Review: Clara is still having a bit of a tough time, even though its been a bit since the day of the fire. Clara is torn between Tucker and Christian, the one she loves and the one in her dreams.
However,
soon Clara will know that Christian is also having dreams like her. What
can it mean for them? It could be the next step she has to take, there isn't
always a clear answer. But who said being an angel was easy?
As the book goes on, for a while it was slow. It took me about half way through the book for it to finally pick up. But once it did, I finally fell back in love with the series and sat on the edge of my seat the rest of the book.
