Being young is all about the experiences: the first time you skip school, the first time you fall in love…the first time someone holds a gun to your head.
After being held hostage during a robbery at the local convenience store, seventeen-year-old Edie finds her attitude about life shattered. Unwilling to put up with the snobbery and bullying at her private school, she enrolls at the local public high school, crossing paths with John. The boy who risked his life to save hers.
While Edie’s beginning to run wild, however, John’s just starting to settle down. After years of partying and dealing drugs with his older brother, he’s going straight—getting to class on time, and thinking about the future.
An unlikely bond grows between the two as John keeps Edie out of trouble and helps her broaden her horizons. But when he helps her out with another first—losing her virginity—their friendship gets complicated.
Meanwhile, Edie and John are pulled back into the dangerous world they narrowly escaped. They were lucky to survive the first time, but this time they have more to lose—each other.
My Review: Love love love!
It was supposed to be a night of junk food, chilling in PJs and binge watching. Before that happens, Edie walks into the gas station to grab the junk food for the night. Unfortunately that night goes way off track. Edie and two guys are trapped in the gas station with a crazy person waving around a gun. By the end of it all, not everyone will make it alive....
While Edie is trying to heal and forget everything that happened, the world around her isn't letting her forget forget what happened. Her supposed BF is selling out her story to any new station who will give her the spotlight. The kids at school are still being horrid to her and frankly she is tired of it. So its off to public school for her.
When Edie and John meet again....life will start to change for them and for the better. Laughter, socialize, new friends, and even a new romance.
Kylie did an amazing job. The characters and story was perfectly done. Your emotions will come out and its a story you can't miss.
