Driven to his death by the demon of Distrust, Baden spent centuries in purgatory. Now he's back, but at what cost? Bound to the king of the underworld, an even darker force, he's unable to withstand the touch of another...and he's quickly devolving into a heartless assassin with an uncontrollable temper. Things only get worse when a mission goes awry and he finds himself saddled with a bride—just not his own.
Famed dog trainer Katarina Joelle is forced to marry a monster to protect her loved ones. When she's taken hostage by the ruthless, beautiful Baden immediately after the ceremony, she's plunged into a war between two evils—with a protector more dangerous than the monsters he hunts. They are meant to be enemies, but neither can resist the passion burning between them...and all too soon the biggest threat is to her heart.
But as Baden slips deeper into the abyss, she'll have to teach him to love...or lose him forever.
My Review: These underworld books just seem to keep getting better. Gena is amazing at what she does.
Anywho.....
Baden has spent a long time in purgatory. Now am I the only one who thinks back at Supernatural? If you know, its an in between and well not fun. When he's finally out, its great, but it comes with a cost. Baden is now tied to the king of the underworld. Oh and he has a nasty tempers and gone on a killing spree......yup just another day....
Then you have Katarina, who has no idea what she is in store for. She's an amazing person and yet you cant believe the type of guy she is going to marry. But she does it to protect those she cares for, but she may find a way out of this marriage after all. When Baden takes her, no one knows what is going to really happen.
But when the spark is sensed between them, things are really not gonna go the way it was planned. But thats when the book really grabs you, as you see them give in to those feelings and handle what comes their way.
The details never fail, you're hooked through out the book and frankly, I can't wait to dive into the next book. Gena is quickly becoming an auto-buy author!
