Sixteen year-old Clara and her two brothers have a secret – one that could destroy their commune if anyone found out. When a race of people, thought to be long-extinct, appears outside their home, their secret is exposed. In the same day, a strange woman “spills” out of the computer that powers the commune, and claims to be the Goddess that they all worship, incarnated into flesh and blood to warn of an approaching war. Clara’s world is soon turned upside-down as the woman’s prediction is fulfilled, causing her to question everything she’s ever known about her life and beliefs.
My Review: For a short read, this book was packed with a lot of detail.
Clara and her brothers need to make sure their secret doesn't get out. If anyone knew what they really were, well things wont be so friendly. And once it's out, things don't slow down. And to add to it, the goddess hey worship comes out of the computer. Yup, and she brings news of a war, you'd think it was just words. But when things are actually happening, the pace quickens and you can't help but get sucked into the story.
I loved this quick read, its ties nicely into the others book. So worth the read and I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next!
