Paisley Morro has been in love with Eli since they were thirteen-years-old. But after twelve years of only being his best friend and wingman, the heartache that comes from watching him with countless other women becomes too much, and Paisley decides it’s time to lay all her feelings on the table.
Eli Jenkins has a life most guys would kill for: Dream job, countless women, and his best friend, Paisley, to be the girl he can always count on for everything else. But one conversation not only changes everything between them, it threatens to make him lose the only girl who has ever meant anything to him.
When tragedy strikes his family and Eli is forced to reevaluate his life, he realizes a life without Paisley isn’t a life at all. Only now, he may be too late.
My Review: A quick read, but so worth it. Paisley and Eli have been best friends for years. They have weird quirks and inside secrets. They still have sleepovers and breakfast every Sunday. You'd think something would have happened between them...but nope.
Paisley has been in love with Eli for a long time. He doesn't know it and she can't seem to tell him, not that he's even noticed anyway. But she's also ready to settle down, get married and have a life. So she slowly starts to fall for someone else. She meets a guy and she likes him, starts to fall in love with him and spend a lot of time together. And then that’s where Eli finally wakes up.
Eli is good looking and fools around with girls and doesn't really notice how Paisley is feeling about this or even notice that she likes him. It's not until she reveals this and when he can’t process what she just said, that’s pretty much when she starts to pull away a little and when Eli starts to miss having Paisley around.
He's had a few run in with Brett, the guy Paisley is falling for, but it's not until a family emergency hits, that Eli finally realizes what Paisley means to him. Life isn't worth it without Paisley. And once he says it to her, she makes a choice. She chooses Eli and things finally are put into place and everything seems right.....
A few set-backs, Brett going a but nuts, and after all that, they find happiness and even some wedding bells....
