Her first year away is turning out to be nearly perfect, but one weekend of giving in to heated passion will change everything.
Eighteen-year-old Harper has grown up under the thumb of her career marine father. Ready to live life her own way and to experience things she's only ever heard of from the jarheads in her father's unit, she's on her way to college at San Diego State University.
Thanks to her new roommate, Harper is introduced to a world of parties, gorgeous guys, family, and emotions. She finds herself being torn in two as she quickly falls in love with both her new boyfriend, Brandon, and her roommate's brother, Chase. Despite their dangerous looks and histories, both men adore Harper and would do anything for her, including taking a step back if it would mean she'd be happy.
My Review: Perfection. Absolute, heart wrenching perfection. After reading this book, I instantly knew Molly would be a new favorite author and that I needed to get my hands on all her books. This was so heart wrenching that you will ugly cry and need those tissues.
Harper is finally on her own and ready to take on the world. Leaving behind her marine dad and life, shes moves all the way to California for college. She's going to see a different way of life and never expected anything to go the way it had.
Harper and her roommate become best friends quickly and its amazing for Harper. She starts coming out of her shell. Goes shopping, finds herself, goes to classes, and is doing everything right. Her friend introduces her to some guys. She gets this bad boy vibe from Chase, who happen's to be her best friends brother. And gets her a lovely nickname that Harper can't stand. But she kinda tells him off and doesn't like his way of living. Little did she expect what relationship they would have later on.
Then Harper meets Brandon and boom. He's head over heels for her, and they truly do fall in love. It's so perfect, natural and gone the right pace. You can clearly feel the love, clearly see they are meant to be for life. Everything was going well, with minor bumps in the road, but thats expected from any kind of relationship.
Then things take a turn. Harper and Chase finally gave into their feelings. It's wonderful and they are happy to finally give in. But then another change, Harper loves Chase, but she also loves Brandon. So she decides to be with him and it is hard for Chase. Which ends up with him straying from her a bit and then suddenly being there and then repeats again.
When a surprise hits Harper, her whole world is about the change. The emotional roller coaster is even greater and I balled until the end. I'll have to stop there before I give away the entire book.
