Grey and Ben fell in love at thirteen and believed they’d be together forever. But three days before their wedding, the twenty-year-old groom-to-be suddenly died from an unknown heart condition, destroying his would-be-bride’s world. If it hadn’t been for their best friend, Jagger, Grey never would have made it through those last two years to graduation. He’s the only one who understands her pain, the only one who knows what it’s like to force yourself to keep moving when your dreams are shattered. Jagger swears he’ll always be there for her, but no one has ever been able to hold on to him. He’s not the kind of guy to settle down.
It’s true that no one has ever been able to keep Jagger—because he’s only ever belonged to Grey. While everyone else worries over Grey’s fragility, he’s the only one who sees her strength. Yet as much as he wants Grey, he knows her heart will always be with Ben. Still they can’t deny the heat that is growing between them—a passion that soon becomes too hot to handle. But admitting their feelings for each other means they’ve got to face the past. Is being together what Ben would have wanted . . . or a betrayal of his memory that will eventually destroy them both?
My Review: I usually love Molly's books right from the start, however with this one, it seemed a little slow for me. But of course after a few chapters I was glued to the book.
Grey and Ben were perfect. They had this wedding to look forward to and then the rest of their lives. But that all suddenly changed when Ben died. He just died, his hart gave out like some random occurrence. It's rare and supposedly couldn't be tested to ever know this would happen. So now Grey is alone, about to graduate college and things still aren't easy. But it won't be, these things take time and right now its hard because its around the time they should have been married, had an anniversary and those days are always going to be hard. But she isn't alone, she has good support to help her get through her days and made sure she graduated and found a way to keep moving forward.
Jagger was their best friend and was there for Grey. He understands her pain and has been there for her anytime he could be. Because he know what it was like to force yourself to get through each day, Grey was able to fight and make it to where she is now. But now that school is over they are both moving back things are going to be a bit odd for a while.
Grey didn't know to how to react to going home and needs some time to settle down and get her life moving. Jagger has a home to himself and a key for Grey in case she even needs anything or just wants to go over. Together they will figure out this whole life thing and go forward. But when feelings start to finally show between them, you can tell there is some pause. Would it be okay to move on and be together. Would that be hurtful to Ben? Would he have wanted that? I know how it must feel, but they do figure it out and I'm happy at how everything ended. I want them to just admit their feelings sooner and not wait so long, but in the end, still an amazing story!
