Logan Bennett knows his priorities. He is loyal to his family and his company. He has no time for love, and no desire for it. Not after a disastrous engagement that left him broken-hearted.
When Nadine enters his life, she turns everything upside down. She’s sexy, funny, and utterly captivating. She’s also more stubborn than anyone he’s met. . .including himself.
Nadine Hawthorne is finally pursuing her dream: opening her own shop. After working so hard to get here, she needs to concentrate on her new business, and can’t afford distractions. Not even if they come in the form of Logan Bennett. He’s handsome, charming, and doesn’t take no for an answer.
It doesn’t help that Logan’s family is scheming to bring them together at every turn. Their attraction is sizzling, and their connection—undeniable. Slowly, Logan wins her over.
But what starts out as a fling soon spirals into so much more. Will they learn to trust their feelings?
Will they have the strength not to let go of each other?
My Review: I've got another book by Layla! This time around its all about Logan and Nadine.
Logan knows his priorities. Knows what he needs to do and plans to stick to it and avoid all heart-breaking situations. After all, that broken engagement really did a toll on Logan and he deserves nothing but to be happy and with the right person.
So here comes Nadine. She's smart, tough, stubborn, and just the person for Logan. It's really great when the person you find is just as stubborn as you, if not more. But right now, she just wants to see her business grow and become something great. So that means no distractions whatsoever. No matter how amazing Logan seems.
They meet. The connection is there. Logan doesn't want to be hurt. Nadine doesn't want a distraction. Yet slowly, but surely Logan does his thing and wins Nadine over. This is not a slow ride though, once they start to know each other, things move pretty quickly. I just loved it, and once they start to give into the feels. Just ugh, things got even better. Somehow Layla takes a good moment and just makes it amazing in a matter of words.
I loved this book. Hands down another winner by Layla. And now I will try to calmly wait to devour the next book!
