Seventeen years ago, an eclipse cloaked the kingdom of Relhok in perpetual darkness. In the chaos, an evil chancellor murdered the king and queen and seized their throne. Luna, Relhok’s lost princess, has been hiding in a tower ever since. Luna’s survival depends on the world believing she is dead.
But that doesn’t stop Luna from wanting more. When she meets Fowler, a mysterious archer braving the woods outside her tower, Luna is drawn to him despite the risk. When the tower is attacked, Luna and Fowler escape together. But this world of darkness is more treacherous than Luna ever realized.
With every threat stacked against them, Luna and Fowler find solace in each other. But with secrets still unspoken between them, falling in love might be their most dangerous journey yet.
With lush writing and a star–crossed romance, Reign of Shadows is Sophie Jordan at her best.
My Review: Sophie wrote another book! Can you guess I pre-ordered it once I found out? My love for Sophie is strong, and here she is again with another amazing story!
Anywho an eclipse changed a kingdom, and not for the good. The kingdom was in darkness, the princess needed to get away, her parent killed and the crown take by another.
Luna must stay hidden away. The world must believe she is dead. But being trapped in a tower is no fun. After a while, things slow, you just want to get outside. But Luna can't, she must never leave the tower. But she wants more and ends up going outside the tower anyway. She doesn't go far and things seem to go just fine. Then she meets Fowler and things start changing.
Luna and Fowler become close, yet both are keeping secrets. She really shouldn't do anything, but Luna can't help the attraction and when her tower gets attacked, she has to run off with Fowler. They must go out there. Find a way to be safe, because things aren't what they seem. Because of the darkness, the world is even more dangerous.
But nothing could be more dangerous than the two of them falling for each other. Will secrets spill? Or remain hidden? Is there a way to happiness in this dark world? Did I love every detail and hang on to every word? Yes, I did and I read the book in one sitting too. That's how awesome Sophie is. So go on and try her books!
