It’s a life based on deception.
Freedom is simply an illusion.
Each person is a slave to Vision.
Trent’s dirty past threatens to steal any chance at happiness for the woman he loves and he must decide how far he is willing to go to protect her. As Charlotte watches him struggle she is faced with the question of who he really is and whether or not she can forgive him. In this world nothing is as it seems.
“Don’t come back, I’m begging you. I’ve only got so much time before they figure out what to do with me and I don’t want to waste it playing games with you.”
“This isn’t a game,” she declared.
“Then don’t act like it is. Just go. You showed your hand and you lost,” he proclaimed calmly.
“And what was your hand?” she asked defensively.
He cocked his head. “I never showed it.”
She pulled the sheet closer around her body. “Is this you winning?”
“No.” He shook his head. “We both lost.”
My Review: Make sure you bury your past well. Because it looks like, Trent's dirty past is coming back and threatening what he has now. He's finally happy and has a great person in his life, and things may fall apart if his dirty past surfaces.
However, Charlotte notices and tries to figure things out for herself. If Trent is really the person she thinks he is. Can she get over it and move forward. Or will things seem worse than she thought?
Trent fights as hard has he can to keep Charlotte. Explain things and hope she will understand. He just can't lose her, she makes him happy and just hope things can become better. She thinks its all a game, and right now she wants no part of it.
Right away I got dragged into the story and I'm loving it. The paces stays strong through the whole story and you will just love it! Its one of the best I've read and I just can't wait to see what else the author writes up next!
