Stay Tonight. Stay Forever.
When Audrey Casella arrives for an unplanned stay at the grand Hotel Ruby, she’s grateful for the detour. Just months after their mother’s death, Audrey and her brother, Daniel, are on their way to live with their grandmother, dumped on the doorstep of a DNA-matched stranger because their father is drowning in his grief.
Audrey and her family only plan to stay the night, but life in the Ruby can be intoxicating, extending their stay as it provides endless distractions—including handsome guest Elias Lange, who sends Audrey’s pulse racing. However, the hotel proves to be as strange as it is beautiful. Nightly fancy affairs in the ballroom are invitation only, and Audrey seems to be the one guest who doesn't have an invite. Instead, she joins the hotel staff on the rooftop, catching whispers about the hotel’s dark past.
The more Audrey learns about the new people she's met, the more her curiosity grows. She’s torn in different directions—the pull of her past with its overwhelming loss, the promise of a future that holds little joy, and an in-between life in a place that is so much more than it seems…
Welcome to the Ruby
My Review: The feels....oh this book is full of questions, creepy moments, death, mystery, and its all wrapped up in one awesome book. With a bit of romance, tossed in.
Audrey and her brother are being shipped off to their grandma's house. Not just because she threw a party that got a bit outta hand. Not just that Audry has acted out a bit. She and her brother are dealing with the loss of their mum. It hasn't been easy and the loss was so unexpected. So their dad has no idea how to deal with anything anymore and has just decided to ship them off.
Its a very long drive to get there. So they stop at Hotel Ruby. Its supposed to be just for the night, but the hotel has something strange about it. They head on in, its a lovely hotel, everything about it just looks amazing. The guy in charge, isn't so great. In fact, he's a pretty terrible guy, and I'm glad he got what he did in the end.
Anywho, her brother and dad are on the same floor, but Audrey gets the lucky 13th floor. Instead of just resting, she cleans up a bit and goes exploring. She stumbles upon a ballroom party, and within a few min, she meets a guy and gets kicked out. Its invite only, but somehow her dad and brother get an invite, but she never does.
So just as the next day comes around, she thinks its time to head back on the road. However, she learns that they are going to stay just a little longer....but really they will never leave. Audrey is spending time with Elias and having nights out on the roof with staff. Her brother is off with this girl who used to be with Elias, and her dad is just off doing whatever.
Audrey continues to explore and son figures out the truth about the Ruby. The staff, the history, and everything starts to be revealed. And I just loved this entire book, Suzanne has such talent. This book is a must read!
