She’s not a princess . . . but then, he’s no prince.
Polyhymnia is deep in enchanted sleep. High in a tower, behind an impenetrable barrier of magical thorns, she sleeps, dreams, and falls ever deeper into her curse.
Woken by a kiss, Poly finds herself in an alien world where three hundred years have passed and everyone she has ever known is dead. Luck, the enchanter who woke her, seems to think she is the princess. Understandable, since he found her asleep on the princess’ bed, in the royal suite, and dressed in the princess’ clothes.
Who cursed Poly? Why is someone trying to kill her and Luck? Why can’t she stop falling asleep?
And why does her hair keep growing?
Sometimes breaking the curse is just the beginning of the journey.
My Review: A Sleeping Beauty twist! Some of you already know that Sleeping Beauty is my favorite and I love reading books that run off it.
Poly is in a deep sleep. Just sleeping and waiting for her prince charming to come along, give her a kiss and live happily ever after. But wait, shes not a real princess and Luck is no prince. Its been a very long time for Poly and the world, along with the people she knew is long gone.
Awake in a new world, she needs to learn about whats been happening. Find out why she got cursed and why she's still in danger. Why she keeps falling asleep and why her hair grows quick. Poly doesn't get all the answers she wants right off the bat. Since she has to deal with Luck thinking she was a princess. Just because she was dressed like one and slept in the bed. But nope, and Luck is confused and now hes in danger as well.
Looks like they need to team together. Keep a eye out and make sure they stay alive long enough to break this curse and so on. Why the curse was placed and how to break it won't be easy. Poly and Luck have things cut out for them, but together they make a great team and will figure out this craziness.
I just freaking loved this book. Such a twist on the original story and I just couldn't put this book down. So go and get a copy, its so worth the read!
