When did you realize
that you wanted to become a writer?
I found myself wanting to write ever
since I was in middle school. But didn’t write my first full story until I was
16, which was the rough draft for Chaos Company. I had to take a step back from
writing when I was college and picked it up again since graduating.
Is being an Author
all you dreamed of, or did it just happen? The best and worst thing about it?
No I didn’t, but it didn’t just
happen either. Like anyone I enjoy a good story with and thought it would be
really fun to create my own. The best thing about writing and being an author
is when someone tells me that they really like. I absolutely love reading the
feedback people have been putting up on amazon about my ebook Chaos Company. The
worst thing about being an author is trying to gain exposure and find a
traditional company. It can be very a very frustrating process. I’m pretty sure
I’ve submitted to about every agency and author for representation and received
more rejections than I’d like to admit.
What was the very
first thing you ever wrote?
The first thing I
ever wrote was a short story in middle school about farmer seeking revenge for
the murder of his fiancé. I think revenge is interesting because it’s something
that we all think about, no matter the magnitude of how someone wronged us.
What made you create
(your book)? How did it come to you?
I grew up reading a
lot of comics and being into superheroes. The primary reason I got into writing
was so I could create my own heroes, people who fought hard to overcome
impossible odds and dangerous adversaries.
Who is your literary
hero?
It would definitely
be Anthony Horowitz, the Author of the Alex Rider Series. He has been a major
influence in my writing.
How much of your characters
are based on your traits or someone you know personally?
I would say a good
portion of the Chaos Company team has traits based on myself and others. The
character Vincent Lockhart has a personality similar to mine when I would party
on the weekends in college. The character Anna Young is based on the type of
girls I usually fall for; strong tomboyish.
Describe your main
character in six words.
A force one should not oppose.

Realistic heroes in a
realistic setting.
What scene was your
favorite to write?
Chaos Company is compiled of 20
chapters. Chapters 17 and 18 are definitely my favourite. These two chapters
are what lead to the final showdown with the protagonists and their opposition.
Each team member in Chaos Company plays a critical role in these chapters;
whether it’s protecting civilians against armed gunmen, chasing down the main
antagonists throughout the city, or providing support and intelligence from a
helicopter, everyone is at their best to insure that their actions aren’t in
vein
What scene was the
hardest for you to write?
The hardest scene for
me to write was the scene where the Chaos Company team goes on the offensive
against a private military company. It was difficult because in that scene a
lot is going on and while writing it I first found myself stuck on how the
scene would end.
What are you working
on now?
Right now I’m working
on two stories at the same time. The first story is a follow up to Chaos
Company while the other is a completely different kind action/thriller.
Goals? Accomplishments? Improvements?
My goal right now is to get as much
exposure for Chaos Company as possible while still writing. I do that by
submitting my work to as many reviewers and agents and publishers as possible.
My most recent accomplishment is receiving my two first perfect reviews for
Chaos Company a few days ago. Finally, there is always room for improvement.
Right now I’m looking to improve on my writing process, trying to not make as
many mistakes in my first draft and also finish my first draft a lot faster
than I did when I was writing Chaos Company.

Are there any authors or books you
recommend?
Can I recommend
myself and my book Chaos Company? Lol. I would recommend The Walking Dead book
series by Jay Bonansinga and Robert Kirkman. It’s a great read for fans of the
comic books or the tv show. I really like how the books dive deeper into the
origins of the infamous character known as the Governor.
What's your favorite
thing to do when you're not writing?
When I’m not writing
I love exercising, especially lifting weights and practicing martial arts. My
experience in martial arts such as my sparring practices and participating in
tournaments have helped me create fight scenes in my ebook Chaos Company
