My Review: Skylar at first wasn't working for me. But once she finally settled down and became an Aunt, I saw a side of her that I hoped would show. Thats the point where I started to like Skylar. She isn't too bad, though I didn't like that she just drop things or people when things got too serious. It annoyed me and good thing she had her niece to warm her up.
Once her niece entered the picture, Skylar started to become more relaxed and settled. Becoming this lovely aunt who would be there for her niece. Loved it, those two became close and then her niece got sick. The one thing that could help, can't be done. Its out of their hands unless the Senator changes his mind. He doesn't and so she doesn't make it.
Then tough Skylar comes out and she is going after the Senator, but what she didn't plan on was Mark. Skylar did her thing to try and ruin the Senator. While Mark wanted to know the person doing this to his friend. He finds Skylar and well you'd expect some big show to happen. Well.....love happened. Not right away, course these two didn't start off as friends, but hey when love enters, you should just go with it.
I really loved this book. I've read other books by Theresa and she always brings her game to each book. Her books are worth the read!
