The heart-stopping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, which Ransom Riggs, bestselling author of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, called “a thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love.”
With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn’t know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won’t keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that’s not all he wants with her.
The Shatter Me series is perfect for fans who crave action-packed young adult novels with tantalizing romance like Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Legend by Marie Lu. Tahereh Mafi has created a captivating and original story that combines the best of dystopian and paranormal, and was praised by Publishers Weekly as “a gripping read from an author who’s not afraid to take risks.” Now this final book brings the series to a shocking and satisfying end.
My Review: So excited to finally finish this series!
It starts off strong with Juliette waking up after being shot. She learns that she was healed with the help of Warner and the girls. Then she hears the unexpected. Everyone is gone, all she knows is destroyed. The people she got to know, her friends are dead. Places bombed and destroyed. Juliette can't stand the news. She holds hope that some must be alive, they must have gotten away and found a place to hide. So he holds to that hope and also plots to kill Warner's dad. Heck, Warner will even help her.
Now Warner has been a tricky character for me. There were times in the series where I just could not stand him and wanted to see gone. Then he does these nice things and has nice moments and your ideas of him shift. Very complicated, but in this book, my thoughts changed. I didn't hate him as much anymore and started to sorta like him a little. You never know when a character will shock you.
The story stayed strong throughout and it blew me away. The best book in the series! Lots of twists, turns, surprises, and sitting on the edge of your seat excitement!
If you haven't read the series yet, then go do so. You are missing out on some brilliant work.
