A modern-day twist on the classic thriller, Rebecca, with a dash of the supernatural, a powerful romance, and a deadly family mystery.

“There’s something hidden in the maze.”

Seventeen-year-old Imogen Rockford has never forgotten the last words her father said to her, before the blazing fire that consumed him, her mother, and the gardens of her family’s English country manor.

For seven years, images of her parents’ death have haunted Imogen’s dreams. In an effort to escape the past, she leaves Rockford Manor and moves to New York City with her new guardians. But some attachments prove impossible to shake—including her love for her handsome neighbor Sebastian Stanhope.

Then a life-altering letter arrives that forces Imogen to return to the manor in England, where she quickly learns that dark secrets lurk behind Rockford’s aristocratic exterior. At their center is Imogen herself—and Sebastian, the boy she never stopped loving.

Combining spine-tingling mystery, romance, and unforgettable characters,Suspicion is an action-packed thrill ride.

My Review: I love Imogen and the story! Imogen is a tough girl and has gone through a lot. She starts off as a little girl who is spending her summer in London just like she always has. Visiting her family is going along just fine. Except that Sebastian may sorta be with her cousin and she may have some gifts that suddenly pop up. Totally normal....But things are quickly all fine and all the kids are going to start their annual slumber party at the boat house.

Then a sudden tragedy strikes and Imogen's world is about the turn upside down. A fire has taken her parents. After the funeral, she leaves London to go back home to NY. She leaves with the last words that her dad had said.

Now its a few years later and the memories are still haunting her. What did her dad mean? Who started the fire? Why did they have to die? So many things are about to happen that Imogen never expected.

So one morning, the bell rings and a package arrives for her. But she can't have it since her guardians need to look at it first. First of all, I don't really like them. I think they are way too over protective / borderline control crazy. So Imogen is tired of it and calls England. Thats when it all changed. She meets Harry who came from England to talk to her. And within minutes her life changes. She is now the heir to Rockford, and apparently her guardians have know everything that has been going on and didn't tell her a damn thing. Which really irritated me.

Then Imogen arrives back at Rockford, where everything is about to change. Lies, mystery, murder, love, suspense, it has everything!!!! The story just picked up even more and I couldn't put the book down! Right from page one, I've been hooked and couldn't stop until I devoured the last word. Truly amazing, and I'm adding this to my favorite books of the year list!!!
