On the verge of suicide after his wife leaves him, Alex Regal learns he has inherited property located in a small town deep within the mountains. Putting things on hold, he heads to Glade, hoping for something positive in his life. Getting there is easy but leaving proves to be impossible. A spell exists, keeping everyone captive in this hidden place.
The town of Glade is run by a Shapeshifter called the Strigoi. The creature needs to drink human blood to survive. Taking the form of a man or an animal, folklore about the Strigoi became the basis of stories about vampires or werewolves. Now Alex must discover a dark secret before he becomes the vampire's next meal.
My Review: So Alex lives a pretty dull life. Even his birthday seems dull, unless a box knife is his dream gift. Then there was this whole wife cheated on him thing, yeah life just isn't peachy right now. Then out o the blue there is someone at his door saying his cousin left him some property. Now his lifeis going to take a turn. Now he learns of a cousin he didn't have and then there is the question of why he life property to him instead of someone else.
So Alex has arrived to this town and it looks like all these events that happen are a sign that he is never leaving....he planned to tour the home and then sell the place. Only it didn't go as planned. He has no way back home and is stuck in Glade. Then Maggie ends up in town. Each now have to deal with Lord Nickola.
Neither like whats going on and both try to escape and just put all this behind them. Now do you really think the town is just going to let them go? Yeah....when have things ever gone easy?
This book is gripping and you will be turning the pages as the pace picks up. I liked this new story and is a good read for anyone.
