When seventeen-year-old Sia wakes up on a park bench, she has no idea who or where she is. Yet after a week of being homeless, she’s reunited with her family. At school, she’s powerful and popular. At home, she’s wealthy beyond her dreams. But she quickly realizes her perfect life is a lie. Her family is falling apart and her friends are snobby, cruel and plastic. Worse yet, she discovers she was the cruelest one. Mortified by her past, she embarks on a journey of redemption and falls for Kyle, the “geek” she once tormented. Yet all the time she wonders if, when her memories return, she’ll become the bully she was before…and if she’ll lose Kyle.
My Review: So I got this book as a request. Well I finished this book amazingly fast, because this book is just so kickass for a YA book.
Any how lets dive in... Sia is this girl who has been homeless for a few days, only because she woke to find that she doesn't know who she is anymore. Though she can remember bits and pieces of other things. As the days go on, pieces start putting themselves together. When it's all into place, she finds out about herself. She found out that she wan't the very best person out there. She doesn't like the way she was before, so now that she is home, she'll try her best to change.
While making good on her attempt to change, there are other people out there who still treat her the same as before. Apparently, not everyone can believe that she can change, or anyone for that matter. Though she is quick to explain that she has changed, and hopefully, they will act differently. In some cases people can change, and in other's you have people who say the will, but never do. Will Sia be the one who has it and can come through? Well...I'll keep that a secret. You have to read the book and figure it out.
So when it came to these changes and the people around her, it went pretty well. Sia and Carol end up being best friends and she really does help Sia in all this. Sia and her family have learned things and made them all become much closer to each other. You'll read about Kyle and Sia. When it came to these two, it should have been more dealing with their problems and then throw in a big bucket of romance.
Lets see....this whole book will leave you amused, intrigued, in awe, and most importantly in love with the whole story line until the very last word.
