When 16 year old Xander's older brother Moto left him at Vandenberg Airforce Base he only had one request - don't leave no matter what. But there was no way he could have known that one day zombies would gather into groups big enough to knock down walls and take out entire buildings full of people. That was before the Rise of the Horde!
In Army of the Dead, Xander's adventure continues when he is placed in charge of a civilian colony outside Barstow. He and his young wife, Felicity Jane, are forced to deal with the daily grind of reconstruction, the constant menace of zombies, and an equally hungry cannibal tribe known as the Alphas.
The Zombie Attack series is filled with pulse-pounding undead action from the very first chapter to the bitter sweet end.

My Review:
Rise of the Hoarde
This was a great zombie book. I couldn’t put this book down
once I started. It was a roller coaster of action, thrills, and horror from
beginning to end. The story started off running, literally, with Xander and his
companions escaping the zombie overrun military base to reunite with his
brother at the Port Hueneme military base. Along the way they get captured by
Neo-Nazis, escape a cult leader’s compound, fight against cannibals, gain new
allies and lose others, and survive against hordes of zombies. The story is
believable and the characters are well developed. I can’t wait to read the
second book.
Army of the Dead
Another great book by this author. This story picks up where
the last one left off with Xander being reunited with his brother after
fighting a zombie horde to protect his friends and surviving the cure for the
zombie virus. In this book Xander is put in charge of a settlement called
Freedom Town and lives there with his new wife Felicity Jane. Trouble begins
when one of the soldiers goes back into town after night patrol and turns into
a zombie and eats a child. After that incident Xander decides that he will go
on night patrol from then on and then gets captured by marauders. He then gets
brought to the unity gang headquarters and finds out that he has a bounty on
his head. After he gets rescued by a woman named Sonya he goes back to freedom
town only to get arrested by the military as a traitor. Then Xander, Felicity,
and Sonya are put onto a train to get brought back to the Port Hueneme military
base. That was just the beginning. This book is nonstop action with a few
twists just like the first one and the descriptions in the book make it easy to
imagine everything that happens in the book. I couldn’t put it down until I
finished it and I am excitedly awaiting the next book.
