My Review: I love this mermaid book! A new world, that was thought out well and the mermaid aspects were done just right. Such a new tale thats got a darken twist to it and it was a refreshing new read.
Coral is about to figure out her place in life. Content with her life before meeting those strangers and now she isnt sure if its better to stick to what she knows or look for a new life. There are ugly things in the world no matter what and I liked how Coral went on about it and just kept seeing a lovely world.
Coral doesnt have the best family life and getting away would make her feel better. Will living a new life make it all go right? Whats it mean for her to be truely human? And if she ie, what goes on with the drone part of her?
How did it all start? The day she save humans from drowning and didn't see much of a difference between them and herself. Coral is a very bright girl and I wish others would see that and let Coral show her worth instead of doing very dull jobs. But her family doesn't see that and well there is only so much that Coral could really do here in her world. So off to the human world she will go to figure out how things can be there. And its not exactly peachy, but Coral ends up figuring things out and learning about what should be best for herself. Again, I love her out look on things. She could have seen things in a much harsher view, but took it all better than most would.
The only issue was being surprised a bit. I'm fast at figuring out the next moves in the book and Mermaid just brought me lots of surprises! I loved that about the book and aren't used to not knowing the next moves. Overall the book was reallllly good and I would love to read more and others to read this.
