My Review: Wow....this book has a lot and somehow has been woven together just right! Lenny knows that you protect your own, but how can he do that and want more? Running is just dangerous, not just for Lenny but for those around him. So what is there to do? Lenny doesn't want to be owned anymore. He wants himself to be free and have the others be free as well.
The book hits these topics that are faced in the world, and its not lightly touched at all. These topics are hit well and clear so that we notice as we read this book. I love the idea of man that can transform to be in the sea or on land. Which was great because you get the view of life in the sea and can later compare to the life on land. It makes you think about what they go through and that makes a good book. Plus this book is done from a different POV every chapter, so you get to know whats going on well and enjoy the story. You do get to know the history of things, I just wish there was a little more added.
What I liked was the way things were introduced and carried through the story to make this journey even better. I also hate that because I hate waiting to find out about things, but that also makes the book so worth it! Its one of those things about a book that makes it fun to read and not being able to put the book down until the last page!
As I read this book I can picture the age of these characters and I kind of was ify on what they had said. Some spoke and well some shouldn't be saying certain things and then some seemed wiser than they were. Besides that, I didn't have any other issues with the book and loved every aspect of it and for a debut book, it was done very well. I would love to read more from Aaron and hope he knocks out some more books soon.
I love the new ideas and I couldn't put the book down until it was over and really enjoyed this world and Lenny!
