Jule Welsh can sing. She enthralls people with her bel canto voice. But it takes more than practice to reach her level of exquisite song; it takes siren's blood running through her veins. Jule is starting her senior year at Cougar Creek High when her relatively normal world begins to resemble a roller coaster flying through a carnival scare house. Her mother is diagnosed as insane and committed, a psycho-stalker is snapping pictures of her to put into his homemade Jule-shrine, her voice is suddenly putting people into comatose trances, oh and the gorgeous new guy in town, Luke Whitmore, is interested in her . . . but also wants to kill her.

My Review: This book was great from start to finish! The Mythology was done nicely and I love it! Jule is a normal high school senior. She has her days and has a lovely voice. Then everything changed so quickly. Jule's mother gets taken away because apparently she has lost her mind.

What else could go on? Well she finds out she is a siren, has a stalker and people are being different when  she uses her voice. So much foe  being normal anymore, and to make things even worse she will have to figure out why people want her dead.

I love how Jule becomes a heroine and how strong and amazing she is. She brought a lot to the book that I really enjoyed. Nothing was over done about the myth and I loved Heather's  take on the Siren myth.

The there is Luke. Now at the start I had my issues with him, he has this thing about him and he was trying to kill Jule. He is also very nice looking and he does a few things that shows how hes into her and then its like are you going kiss or kill her? I really  liked that and wondering, it makes the book addicting.

I really loved this whole story and I couldnt put this book down. The myth was done great and Jule and Luke were some of the best characters i have read this year. I cant wait to read more books from Heather and she is a really great author!
