My Review: What. The. HELL!! Like seriously?! Besides Sophie writing another awesome book, I have never felt so much for a character! Davy goes through so much in the start and the people around her are just being ass holes to her.
Davy is so talented with music, there isn't anything she can't play or learn in a heartbeat. She also has her best friend Tori and super hot boyfriend Zac, and everything in her life is great. One day at school she gets a call to go home. Maybe something happened with her brother again, or her parents. She gets home to find out the problem is her. She is positive for the kill gene.
So finding this out made everything go upside down in an instant. She now has a new school, needs to see a guy early in the morning, her parents started to fight because of her and the people who love her the most are being total asses! Tori instantly drops her, and wants nothing more than to see her gone or dead. Zac tries and well isn't really helpful, he wants to make out and Davy wants to talk about whats going on right now. Things turn for the worse and they breakup along with a slap to the face.
Now think about this. You slap a guy in the face for being hurtful to you, okay we see this with a lot of breakups. What does this mean for Davy though? Well lets just say after this point I wanted both Tori and Zac to fall into a deep hole. Tori goes and sells Davy out, and Zac is hesitant, which made me consider letting him live, but who knows how long that will last. It really was bad on Zac's side. The very start I loved him because of how much love he has for Davy and the way you just know that they are meant to be. Then you hear about the killer gene and things fly out the window.
Now being sold out, Davy is taken and marked just like Sean. You will read about him and maybe like him, or maybe not. I wasn't sure about him until halfway with the book before I decided if I liked him or not. But he and Davy are about to have more in common than you think.
So once you get past halfway through the book you may have the urge to toss the book and scream out for Davy. I just wanted to give her a hug! Poor girl goes through so much and I can't believe how strong she is, because she doesn't just break down every second and actually fights to prove she isn't a killer.
I loved this entire book! Love the writing and the texts between characters. Oh the first few texts you read, may just aid in the anger when it comes to Tori and Zac. I don't think I have ever had such anger at characters before, but I really really just felt for Davy.
This entire book had me at page one till the last. I don't think that Sophie could ever write a bad book, I just love these stories she creates. Plus I'm dying to see what goes on next for Davy and I hope she has it easier and I won't want to hurt so many characters. Though when it comes to a sequel it generally means things get tougher before they get better, so I may be yelling and plotting my own plans for these characters.
