My Review: I loved reading this book. It turned out much better than I thought. I loved the sound of the book and got excited that Juliet and Hamlet's stories are brought in and given a new twist on things.
So Romeo takes some poison and just happens to live through it. He is now even more determined to get to Juliet. Well he can't get to her right now, so he goes to Hamlet. He just happens to be in charge of protecting a doorway to the underworld.
Uh okay, so first Romeo is given an antidote, and Hamlet is guarding the door to the underworld....None of this happened in the original love stories. Right now I'm not sure if I like it or not. Plus the story started out a bit slower than I had hoped for, but it does pick up and get me hooked.
What annoyed me was Hamlet joking a lot, he was supposed to be crazy. Romeo was okay for me, he does have an attitude. Juliet was just being herself, and she was the character that I loved the most.
So even though the book did pick up for me and I was hooked, I did have those issues with the characters and I wished the plot would unravel it self earlier in the book.
