When Dallas resident Callie Taylor died young, she expected to go to Heaven, or maybe Hell. Instead, when she met her fate early thanks to a creep with a knife and a mommy complex, she went to Alabama. Now she's witnessed another murder, and she's not about to let this one go. She's determined to help solve it before an innocent man goes to prison. And to answer the biggest question of all: why the hell did she wake up dead in Alabama?
My Review: Love this book. Has a lot of what I love to read and more. Callie died before she was supposed to. So when she died she would go up or down. Sound about right, but she went no where.
Callie ends up in Alabama. Why? Well she got a second chance, and is going off the celebrate with a random guy and some friends. Just kidding! She is dead, but really does wake up in Alabama. Another murder has happened. She wants to solve it, but how? She is a ghost. No one can see her, hear her, or feel her. How can she tell people about what is going on? Well, things have to get hard and crazy before things can work out, right?
Callie is so smart and does make friends along the way and these friends will help her. So she has Ashara (haven't heard this name yet) a ghost whisperer. I know some don't like it and just ignore ghosts and all, but Ashara was uggggggh. When Asher finally agreed to helping, they have to hurry. A guy was accused and it wasn't him! They got the wrong guy and they must lead the cops to the true killer before he gets away.
I love Callie's mouth. Oh the things she says at time are funny and she acts like everything is just fine. She is just a fun character, with her own spunk that I enjoyed reading and would love to keep reading about. All other character are built really well and are easily to like or not like. Depending on your take of the book.
