Once a
respected member of the Sorcerer Council and now an outcast, Blaise has spent
the last year of his life working on a special magical object. The goal is to
allow anyone to do magic, not just the sorcerer elite. The outcome of his quest
is unlike anything he could’ve ever imagined – because, instead of an object,
he creates Her.

She is
Gala, and she is anything but inanimate. Born in the Spell Realm, she is
beautiful and highly intelligent – and nobody knows what she’s capable of. She
will do anything to experience the world . . . even leave the man she is
beginning to fall for.

Augusta,
a powerful sorceress and Blaise’s former fiancĂ©e, sees Blaise’s deed as the
ultimate hubris and Gala as an abomination that must be destroyed. In her quest
to save the human race, Augusta will forge new alliances, becoming tangled in a
web of intrigue that stretches further than any of them suspect. She may even
have to turn to her new lover Barson, a ruthless warrior who might have an
agenda of his own . . .
My Review: Love! This book was so much better than I thought. I had known I would like it, but it surprised me very much. Gala was a great character, very smart with her own views of the world. She is from a realm and is very beautiful when in the real world.
Augusta, Blaise, and Barson are also brought into this world. Augusta and Blaise are ex's and they aren't bad when they are together now. No crazy fighting like ex couples would do when being near each other. All of these characters have a huge part in the book and it only makes reading this book all the better.
Barson is now with Agusta and a captain. Blaise is still an outcast, but all things will change. Gala her creation is amazing, since being an outcast can make you and magic not mix. Blaise used this time to create a secret project. Let anyone use magic, no matter who you are. But then Gala is here and tries to see the real world, which she does and one heck of a way it took her. It was not easy, but getting to that point made me feel for Gala and got me so deep into the story that I couldn't believe the next book was not in my hands.....
All these characters have their own parts, so each will take over and talk from their POV. I like that. It's not easy to do and can mess up characters, but this book was perfect and I loved every second of it!
