While Morganville, Texas,
is often a troubled town, Claire Danvers and her friends are looking forward to
coming home. But the Morganville they return to isn’t the one they know; it’s
become a different place—a deadly one…
Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were
away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they’ve ever seen it before, but
when their incoming group is arrested and separated—vampires from humans—they
realize that the changes definitely aren’t for the better.
It seems that an organization called the Daylight Foundation has offered the
population of Morganville something they’ve never had: hope of a vampire-free
future. And while it sounds like salvation—even for the vampires themselves—the
truth is far more sinister and deadly.
Now, Claire, Shane and Eve need to find a way to break their friends out of
Daylighter custody, before the vampires of Morganville meet their untimely end
My Review: It's over! I have finished the last book of this
series. I loved it so much and this last one was amazing!!
Vampires in cages, weddings, leaving the town, going to the nut house, and you
know, just that daily life of Morganville. So we start right off from the book
before. The gang is in the cop car on the way to the Daylighters HQ, right
after seeing their vampire buddies being shot and taken away. When arriving
they are told that the town is safer, gave makeovers to buildings, and the
vampires have all been captured.
After fighting with Fallon the leader of the Daylighters, Eve is finally given
the chance to go see where they have taken Michael. The old strip mall has now
become the holding place for all vampires. They are all being kept there with
shock collars and they are very good on vamps. They even got the founder of
Morganville captured. When Michael steps out, he and Eve have their moment, and
it hurt to read these parts. So close and still they can't be together and just
go home. What's worse is that Shane really can't be near any vampires now.
Remember how Shane got bit by a dog? Well you are going to find out more about
it and what exactly this means for Shane and Vamps.
Moving on, it got harder and harder to slow down and make the book last just a
bit longer. I just kept reading and reading and what unfolds will only leave
you crying for the end of Morganville.
The fight for taking Morganville back is even greater now, and they have to
alone and before things can get any worse. With some help, the group manage to
escape a nut house, one becomes a dog, and you can imagine the crazy.
The big part of this book is the cure. Fallon has claimed that he created this
cure that can make vampires human again. Is it really true? It has more than
50% fail rate. One proof is Fallon, he used to be a vampire. Plus anyone that
does turn back, you don't hear Fallon mention them out in the world. Why? Well
he does something to them. What he does? Well let's just say, he must as well
have kept them a vampire. One person changes, and you will be surprised, but
happy. Because this person is so happy about it and you never really this
person alive.
As we near the end, the fight has started again and ended not soon after.
Eventually they win back Morganville and soon they all live in peace together.
Oh there will be weddings! You know who hopefully. My two favorite girls are
getting married and I love it! A perfect ending to a perfect series.
