Some choices are hard to live with.
But some choices will kill you.

When seventeen-year-old Anna first meets Rakan in her hometown north of the Arctic Circle, she is attracted to his pulsing energy. Unaware that he is a shapeshifting dragon, Anna is drawn into a murderous cycle of revenge that pits Rakan and his clan against her best friend June.

Torn between his forbidden relationship with Anna, punishable by death, and restoring his family’s honor by killing June, Rakan must decide what is right. And what is worth living – or dying – for.

My Review: Fantasy, YA, and some Dragons! Oh I do love a good dragon book now and then. This one did not disappoint! Good since I hold dragons books at a high point after reading Firelight Series.

Before I start, read the book carefully, there will be new words to describe dragons and what's going on, so just be ready.

This brought me a new view on Dragons that I really loved. Only thing is that I want this to be a series, not just a stand alone.  Paliaq is a dragon that will soon be in danger.  Rakan and Dvara are being sent to find and kill Paliaq. Why are they sent to do that? Well you'll have to read to find out, but I'm sure you will have the same thoughts when you read why.

Soon the love begins. Paliaq just happens to be friends with Anna, who eventually meets Rakan. When they meet they slowly start to fall for each other. So now Rakan is torn between two things. Do what he came for, or abandon it all to do what's right? As you can tell this is where the book kicks up speed. Oh I do love these parts.

Rakan makes a hard choice. He loves Anna, but was sent to her to seduce her and find out what she knows from her memories. When love interferes, things are never easy. Rakan's sister has other plans, while Rakan is staying with Anna an trying hard to stick to the dragon code. The love part is the hardest in any book, but in this case, it's really hard since he's a dragon.

I really loved this book. The cover alone is enough to interest you, the bio grabs you and the actual book is addicting. You will believe that this book could be a series. Just read the ending! This book has a really good ending, which is great since some Authors have a hard time making a good ending when it's a stand alone.

I would really read more from this author and hope the writing is just as amazing!
