My Review: Love this book! It was a quick read for me, but kept me hooked until the last page.
So Cassie is detective who works on any normal case. She was born to a world of magic. Her whole family has some kind of gift, except for Cassie. She want lucky enough and is just a human.
One day she finally gets a case. Go to Belindas house and give her a paper. A few min pass after she arrive and a car pulls up. Evan jumps and and goes to the house and so they decide to let themselves in and have a look around.
What they find isnt what they expected. A person was killed by a vampire and it wasnt Belinda. The person was Evans cousin, so now he gives Cassie the take to find the vampire who did it. Plus figure out where Belinda ran off to.
As the case moves on the book picks up on the pace. Evan and Cassie are doing a lot of work together and her parents dont like him.
Cassie soon finds herself with a vampire. One that isnt the the killer but has one of Cassies friends under his little spell. This vampire tried going after Cassie, but good thing he didnt know about the potion. Cassie isnt afftected, but the vampire doesnt know that.
Cassie comes up with a plan to kill this vampire. She brings Evan with her for backup and together they managed to kill the vampire just in time.
Nearing the end of the book, Cassis is told some horrid news from her parents and now has to go stay with her friend Kaitlin. Soon after this happens Cassie starts to think and eventually figures out who the real vampire is.
The vampire finds her and tries to kill her, but doesnt win. Cassie was able to stop him but then is knocked out by all this happing around her.
When she wakes up, she is in Evans place and learns just how deep this new debt is and now who she belongs to. Will this work out or will Evan get what he wants?
