A simple mission turned deadly.
Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.
When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

My Review: Okay so this tour was exciting for me! Not long after adding this to my to-read list, I got an email about this tour, so hey why not. Well Dawn is a super awesome character. She is one of the born vampires. You see the vampires here are different. They can eat things, that myths say they can't. They can be seen in mirrors, and the sun doesn't do very much if any damage. Vampire here co-exist with humans. First they were scared, but then people became fascinated and accepted them. Some even become movie stars, artist, and live normal type lives. Now there are rules for vampires who live among the humans, besides the obvious one there are the making vampires rule. One you can't make one anymore. 2 Vampires can have babies. Though I'll stop there because the book talks about all that for a bit. Now back to Dawn, she is the daughter of the Vampire president. Since she was old enough to walk, she has been training and learning. Fighting in so many ways, learning about everything from around the world. All of this she learned from tutors who right now would be proud at what she has done. The book starts off with Dawn teaching a class and getting an assignment from her dad. She has been waiting for one since she has been 16. Now is her chance to get what she wants. The legendary fab five have left the town of Angel Creek, and Dawn must go and get a new group of vamps to look over the town. At the arrival of this town it looks pretty good for Dawn. All she has to do is grab the vamps that are chosen, tell them what to do and be on her way. This I find is an entertaining part of the book. Once all the vampires are found and sent to the secret location in the woods, Dawn looks at them. These are a bunch of sad vamps. One who likes to drink, over peppy cheerleader, a unwanted turned vamps, and a librarian vamp. None of them have exactly what is needed to protect this town. So Dawn stays longer to train them in the hopes she can be done and on her way home quickly. Day one doesn't go well and she must end it quickly before she breaks her own rules. Plus as the book goes on bad things happen and Dawn and the crew will have to work really hard. Two guys in this book seem the be a pain for Dawn. Ethan a normal guy and Sebastian a vampire. Ethan saves Dawn, and that gives the attraction more meaning. While Dawn likes Sebastian more because of the way he is around her. Things get crazy though once you hit the end of the book. Hannah a friend of Dawn is taken by vampires and humans. The humans have vampire powers, but you find out more in the book. Anyway they must find her and bring her back safely. Before they do anything Dawn must go tell her dad the news on the mission. Once everything is explained, he wants her off this mission now. However Dawn won't have this, and continues on the mission. She gets word on where Hannah is and they go to get her back, though things hit a rough spot there. This new vampire Viktor shows up. We learn all about him and why he plays such a big part. Plus we find the connection with him and Dawn. Also Dawn learns some truth into her life and who she really is. This book was simply AMAZING and I NEED the next book now. I do like vamp books, and Ada created a new world with new twists that I enjoy. She threw in things that I wouldn't have thought to throw in a vamp world.
